An Séasúir Cheilteach (The Celtic Seasons)

The Celts marked thresholds,  not seasons,  living by the lands rhythm of light and dark. 

Imbolc: The first whispers of Spring, a festival of light,  hope and renewal,  Brigids blessing awakens the lands. 

Bealtaine: The fires of Summer are lit, a time of passion,  growth,  and protection as the earth burst with life and love. 

Lughnasadh: The fruits of of harvest are gathered, a festival of gratitude, feasting and games. 

Samhain: The veil grows thin,  a time of endings and beginnings.  Spirits walk beside and the New Year is born in Winters dark embrace.
