All my design and pieces have a Celtic root and while Christmas is not a Celtic holiday, we have festivals that marked significant events in the Celtic year. Christmas is a Christian event that has absorbed many of the pagan/celtic traditions. Christmas matches the pagan festivals of the Winter Solstice and the Norse festival of Yule.
Available in red, green, navy or purple 14 count Aida with lining, Celtic Trinity Knot, hand stitched with Báinín cotton thread in a 4" hoop with velvet ribbon.
A timeless thread between two worlds. An ancient curves with no beginning and no end, woven from a single line - eternal, unbroken. Echos of a timeless when nature was divine, Earth, Sea and sky; Maiden, Mother, Crone; Life, death, rebirth.
Later it became the sacred of faith, a quiet emblem of the holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, three in one, bound in love.
Today it speaks still. Of Unity. Of eternity. Of love that does not end. A symbol held close to the heart, in rings, in art and in memory.
